Heat grid graphic exported from EPIPOI, showing incidence mortality of diarrhea in a latitudinal gradient across Mexico[11]. Heat grids are a remarkable way of visualizing numerical matrices because heat grids are, in fact, matrices with the particularity that values are expressed in a gradient of tones or colors, instead of numbers. In this heat map, it is possible to identify differences in trends, anomalies and peak times (even a switch from summer to winter peaks) without the use of any calculation.
