Spatial distribution of the entomological hazard index (density of infected I. scapularis nymphs; DIN) in the study site in 2017 A and 2018 B. Tick data were collected at sites located in the forest and interpolated with ordinary kriging models, then average values were extracted along each trail segment and its immediate surroundings (25 m buffer) and classified by quantile breaks, with classification based on the minimum and maximum values of each individual year (notably, 2017 exhibiting higher values than 2018)
