Subgroups analyses for the association between DII and stroke. Analyses were stratified for sex (men and women), age (≤ 40 years, 40–60 years, and ≥ 60 years), race/ethnicity (Black, White, and others), BMI (normal weight, overweight, and obesity), smoking status (smoker and non-smoker), alcohol consumption (drinker and non-drinker), diabetes (yes and no), and hypertension (yes and no). Model II was used in subgroup analysis, which was adjusted for age, sex, race/ethnicity, educational level, smoking status, alcohol consumption, BMI, diabetes, and hypertension.
