Restriction stringency index, relative confirmed cases of SARS-CoV-2 infections and COVID-19 related deaths, and number of COVID-19 patients in intensive care units in Germany for the data collection period, based on ourworldindata.org. The stringency index is a composite measure based on nine indicators, including school closures, workplace closures, cancellation of public events, restrictions on public gatherings, closures of public transport, stay-at-home requirements, public information campaigns, restrictions on internal movements, and international travel controls, which range from 0 to 100 (100 = most severe) (see: ourworldindata.org)
