Inclusion criteria

Biological male

Age ≥ 18 years

Had anal and/or oral sex with a biological male in the past 12 months

Able to answer screening questions to verify knowledge of MSM sexual behavior

In possession of a valid referral coupon

Lived, worked or socialized in the survey area within the last 12 months;

Ability and willingness to provide written informed consent

Biological female

Age ≥ 15 years

Received money in exchange for sex from someone other than a main partner in the last six months

In possession of a valid referral coupon

Lived, worked or socialized in the survey area within the last 6 months;

Ability and willingness to provide written informed consent

Biological male

Age ≥ 18 years

Mozambican nationality

Signed a work contract with a South African mine through TEBA Ltd. on the day of the survey

Greater than one-year of experience working in a South African mine

Ability and willingness to provide written informed consent

Biological male

Age ≥ 18 years

Truck driver who has made at least one interprovincial or international trip in the last 12 months

Spent at least one night outside of their primary residence in the last 12 months

Portuguese- or English-speaking

Ability and willingness to provide written informed consent

Age ≥ 18 years;

Injected drugs without a medical prescription within the last 12 months

Ever injected drugs at any point in their lives (criterion added in December 2013)

Lived, worked or socialized in the survey area within the last 12 months;

In possession of a valid referral coupon

Ability and willingness to provide written informed consent
