From: Effectiveness of community adolescent treatment supporters (CATS) interventions in improving linkage and retention in care, adherence to ART and psychosocial well-being: a randomised trial among adolescents living with HIV in rural Zimbabwe

Research Arm Baseline (%) Count (N) End line (%) Count (N) Difference (95% CI) P value Odds Ratio (95% CI)
Intervention 44.2% 47 71.8% 47 27.6 (7.0, 48.2%) 0.0087 3.934 (1.404, 11.02)
Control 48.9% 39 39.3% 28 9.6% (−13.7, 32.9%) 0.419
  1. Percentage of adolescents adhering to ART, before and after CATS intervention is given for both the intervention and control arm, and both at baseline and endline. N = 47 for the intervention arm at baseline, N = 39 for the control arm at baseline, N = 47 for the intervention arm at end line, and N = 28 for the control arm at endline. Difference between the baseline and endline is provided (including the 95% CI). Difference between baseline and endline is statistically significant if p < 0.05. The bold text under p-value column show statistical significance. Odd ratios are further used for statistically significant differences
