  1. This table shows the results of a Mann-Whitney U test of VPD incidence in districts classified as either predominantly urban or predominantly rural. This test assumes the null hypothesis that there is no difference in the incidences rates across the two settlement types. A significant p value (p < 0.05) indicates a rejection of the null hypothesis and confirms that there are differences in incidences between settlement types. Values in the settlement type columns represent mean ranks. *significant p values (p < 0.05)
