  1. Data are presented as percentages from the chi-square test. (BMI) (kg/m2) was categorized as underweight (BMI < 18.5), normal (BMI 18.5–23.5), overweight (BMI 23.5–27.5) and obese (BMI > 27.5) [35, 36]. Abdominal obesity was defined as a WC ≥ 80 cm for females and ≥ 90 cm for males [35, 37]. Hypertension was defined as SBP ≥ 140 mmHg and/or, DBP ≥ 90 mmHg and/or, intake of anti-hypertensive drugs [38, 39]. Prehypertension was defined as SBP 120–139 mmHg; and/or DBP 80–89 mmHg [38, 39]
