Scores were higher when the long-term trend was not included (hollow triangles) as compared to variants where trend was included (filled circles). More historical data (x-axis) increased the alarm true positive score and decreased the total number of alarms generated (size of marker). Scores were highest with two to four periods for seasonality (blues), and lowest with no seasonality (one period, dark purple). The number of alarms generated is indicated by the size of the marker and decreases as more years of historical data are included
