Measurements of RSP and PPAH as a function of time after the Boston smoking ban on Friday, October 17, 2003 from 6 PM to 12 AM in the same 7 hospitality venues shown in Figure 1. Pub #6 had high carbon monoxide levels before and after the ban; this was reported to Boston Public Health, whose investigation later disclosed this was due to fumes from a malfunctioning gas-fired deep fat fryer. Outdoor air pollution levels appear between the dotted lines bracketing the indoor levels in each pub.
