The graph shows a latitudinal gradient in the timing of peak pneumonia and influenza mortality in Brazil, illustrating the utility of comparing the seasonality of time series geographically [7]. Like in the map in Figure 1, EPIPOI plots the size of markers based on selected parameters, though in this case the color denotes the regions of Brazil. The identity of each observation can be optionally added to the scatter plot using the ‘legends’ check-box. EPIPOI can also export all parameters extracted into a file ready for further analysis. All parameters are available for each location.
