For every 1% increase in the number of children underweight-for-age, the infant mortality rate increases by 1 death per 1000 infants

For every 1 g increase in protein/capita/day, the infant mortality rate decreases by 1 death per 1000 infants

Exclusively Breastfed*

For every 1% increase in the number of infants that are exclusively breastfed for 6 months, the infant mortality rate decreases by 0.5 deaths per 1000 infants
