  1. Subjects with IGT who received prevention strategies gained more years before having diabetes and of any kind of complications than the control, the term extra time was used for these years. All prevention strategies, except screening alone at initiation age of 60 years, offered some extra time. Moreover, the initiation ages were found to show proportional effect on extra time.
